I need some sun

January is such a blah month for many reasons. One of the reasons I think it is so blah is because we have had only a couple of days with sun, winter is long and cold and I really don't mind it, but I think this season we have had the least amount of sunshine.

I want and need to have the smell of spring! I can not wait until I can see the flowers popping up in the garden. Because of this I think I have been in a funk. Normally the stress at work don't bother me, but lately everything bothers me.

Well enough dwelling, at least I have been doing some creating, have to say I love making ATC's. I think I'm actually getting excited about the mega meet. Last year I skipped it so I think I just may have to go this year. Not that I want to spend the money but it gets me motivated.

I'm packed and ready to crop tomorrow. Hope I get some things done and not chat the day away.

Here she is........JaeLee

I went to snap a few pictures of the new addition to our family.
She is small, adorable and very wrinkly. LOL Mom Brandy, Dad Jason, and sisters SkyLyn and Tristin are very proud of her. Brandy says she is a good sleep, but says she is a bit spoiled already and wants to be held and not placed in her bassinette.

Other notes work has been good, not so stressful but very busy.
Also, this week has been a scrappy and fun week. So I'm off to do some creating.
Have a great weekend.

Remembering

My mom Dolores

Today is the 10th anniversary of my mom leaving us. 1-12-08. So today I dedicate my blog to my mom. She was the best mom one could ever ask for.
She was a hardworker (she worked at the Cheverolet Factory) she was funny, a bowler, a rebater, a cook, and a shopper. My mom has always worked hard, she raised 4 kids (Tom, Jayne, Me & Andy) and not always with the help of my dad. They divorced in the late 70's.
If my mom was here today, she would join the scrapbooking world, she may not be doing layouts but she sure would be shopping for supplies for me. LOL
I sure miss her more and more. Her life was taken too soon and she has missed my wedding and the birth of some of her grandchildren.
SO I do not want to dwell on all the sadness in out life. I just want to say live life to the fullest because some lives our just to short.

Can you tell that I have my mom's nose....LOL

AHHHHHH

Well this old body is tired and sore, my one store is finally moved to its new location. There sure was a lot of stress, tension and confusion. But it is done. Now the next project is opening a new store. I guess I'm earning my keep. And since we moved and came up with some new ideas most of my stores want to rearrange their backroom. Not that I don't want them too, but I'm tired. LOL
It will all be worth it in the end.

So far the new year is going good. I have really cut down on the diet coke, having my first one since the 1st. Darn it does taste gooooood.

I must let everyone know that on January 13th we are having a cyber crop at www.cropperscottage.com so come on over and join us.

I will soon have some layouts to upload.
Have a great week.

2008

We stayed home last night and watched the ball drop. Love Dick Clark but the man is not looking so good, he had accomplished quite a bit in his life. And of course I did see Val. Many of you probably have seen him too, he was the one in the bright pink baseball hat and he has a full beard, he inches his way into the camera every chance he gets. LOL Val has been going to New York for many years now, I use to work near him when we both worked at our local mall. So every year I look for him.

2008 is off to a great start, today I reorganized, cleaned out drawers, rearranged my shelves and all my scrapping supplies. I'm really happy the way it looks now. I can see almost everything and most of it is within a good reach. I don't have a huge area but its mine and it is comfy. Now I'm planning to do more layouts this year and using up quite a bit of my stash. I refuse to buy so much ahead of time anymore, when I go to use it most of it will seem old and I have a ton of pattern paper that must be used.

I have many other goals also, some are the same as last year. Go figure.
But I do vow not to be angry with anyone, keep be in touch with real friends beter, treat others how I would want to be treated and live life to the fullest. Life is too short and we lost too many people this past year too soon. Some have passed on and others choose not to talk to me anymore for reasons unknown, and do not have the guts to tell me why, so I say it is your loss I have always been a good friend to those I know.

I wish all of you a healthy, happy and a great New Year.
